If ever I had the choice to be born in any era passed, present, or future, I would like be born an English fille in the Victorian Era. Women were classy, sophisticated, appreciative of their roles in their household, yet there was the option for women to to become scientists, explorers, etc. (Like Isabella Bird, Mary Kingsley, Gertrude Bell). Men approached you to ask for permission to court you openly. Chivalry was an inherent quality and women reveled in knowing they mastered the art of strength and femininity. Also, Queen Victoria was an inspiring lady if the movie with Emily Blunt is anything to go by.
